Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Can we provide our own alcohol?

A. Yes we are happy to work with you to get the best package to suit your budget and requirements.

 

Q. How far in advance do we need to book?
A. We do not want to disappoint you so as far in advance as you can please.

 

Q. Do you serve spirits?
A.  We can carry a small selection but due to limited space it will be difficult to offer a complete bar and so drinks packages are designed together with you in advance.

 

Q. Do you do cocktails?
A. We can provide a few signature cocktails to suit your event.

 

Q. What do your staff wear?
A. Smart stylish dress with our quality denim aprons and in keeping with our standard rustic theme. If you would prefer us to have a set dress to suit your theme then we are happy to accommodate.

 

Q. What kind of staff do you provide?
A. We are a team of 2. Jessica & Jen. We have been best friends for 25 years and have a lot of history together and as you can imagine we have a great rapport. As a team we bounce off each other to give you cheeky asides as we serve.

 

Q. How involved can we be?
A. We welcome any ideas you may have, after all it is your event! However we are happy to plan every last detail if you would rather leave it to us.

 

Q. Does it cost extra to have the venue decorated?
A. No, which ever theme you feel suits you it’s all part of the Landy Girls experience .

 

Q. When do you need access to the venue?
A. If we do not know the venue, then ideally we would like to pop along in advance of the big day (like you we want everything to run smoothly!).  If that is not possible, we will talk to the venue in advance.

 

Q. Do you obtain the licence?
A. Yes, we will organise that.

 

Q. What do you serve drinks in?
A. For the hot drinks we use standard recycled disposable cups unless china crockery etc is specified or as part of a themed package. For the bar and our coffee cocktails we use elegant, shatterproof, recyclable glasses.

 

Q. Do the Landy Girls need to be outside?
A. No, we are mobile and can go (size permitting) into any large enough indoor space with access.

 

Q. Are you insured?
A. Yes we are fully insured with Public Liability Insurance.

 

Q. How far do you travel?
A. We cover the radius of 60 miles from our HQ in Sidmouth Devon. However, we are happy to and will travel further but it may incur an additional cost.

 

Q. Do you serve soft drinks?
A. Yes we do, a selection of locally sourced soft drinks.

 

Q. What time do you serve to?
A. We never want to stop a good party! However, we have to be guided by local licensing and venue restrictions. We will discuss this in advance with you.

 

Q. What facilities do the Landy Girls  need to operate?
A. We are fairly self sufficient regarding power. We use solar power to ensure sustainability and silence. Our battery back up power ensures we continue operating even on a cloudy day! If the venue has power for an electric hook up then we can use this and make sure that any cabling is well hidden.
